A fitting last album (5 stars)
What a beautiful tribute to the Genius of Ray Charles. He is in far better voice than on the last duets album. It's great to hear Ray singing so powerfully and soulfully and on great new material. Compared To What is a great track, and Busted with Willy Nelson is outstanding. The standout track is It All Goes By So Fast, a sensitive and poignant song touchingly delivered by Ray and Mary J. America The Beautiful (2 stars)
OK at best. Alicia Keyes is ok but would have rather heard Ray Charles only. His is a very powerful version of this song and it appears it is not available through itunes.I

I cant find a version of this song where ray charles sings it. Alicia is a good singer but no one wants to hear her sing this song its all about RAY CHARLES

Ray Charles was the musician most responsible for developing soul music. Singers like Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson also did a great deal to pioneer the form, but Charles did even more to devise a new form of black pop by merging '50s R&B with gospel-powered vocals, adding plenty of flavor from contemporary jazz, blues, and (in the '60s) country.
