I really love Aretha Franklin that's why I'm so disappointed. Is it me or has she lost her voice over the last few years. It's torture listening to the once soulful singer crank out these cackling whiners of songs. She just can't do it no more.

I don't know why such a well regarded artist is just singing timeless Christmas songs so haphazardly. You aren't able to hear what she's singing and the words are just rushed over, almost like she only had mintues to put this album together or she learned the songs as she was recording them. This is just awful for her. I knew things where going down hill when she threw together the words to "My Country Tis Of Thee" at the President

Aretha Franklin is one of the finest vocalists in the world. When I saw that Aretha had a holiday Cd I was really excited with what it could be! It could be great, soulful and different from all the run of the mill holiday CD's, but it's NOT. It's a big yule log. This recording sounds like someone's drunk aunt trying to sing karaoke at a christmas party. Not good. In a sad way it is kind of funny. I love you Aretha, but this is not your best
