How Do You Like Me Now?! – Toby KeithView More By Toby Keith Our ReviewFor his fifth album, Toby Keith changed labels without compromising his style. How Do You Like Me Now?! picks up where Dream Walkin’ left off, mixing energized pop hits (“Blue Bedroom,” “She Only Gets That Way With Me,” and the winning title song) with gentle story songs (“New Orleans”) and beefy, roadhouse rock (“Country Comes to Town,” “Die With Your Boots On”). Many songs show Keith beginning to capitalize on the “guy’s guy” persona that would fully blossom on his next album, Pull My Chain. Still, his last album of the ‘90s shows the singer’s ability to bring subtle new textures to his old recipe. “Hold You, Kiss You, Love You” rides a simmering rhythm based on organ and brushed drums, while the brooding melodrama of “When Love Fades” borrows less from country music than it does Don Henley and even Aerosmith in its softer moments. As Keith enters the middle stage of his career he proves he has more than enough presence to make it as one of modern country’s leading men.. Customer ReviewsAwSSSSSSSSOME (5 stars)i hear theis song every were on the radio snd on all my friend mp3s i own it 2 its up beat and very funny The last good Toby Keith Album (5 stars) After this album he decided that genuine songs filling his albums should be replaced with shocking schlock like Who's Your Daddy & Courtesy Of The Red White & Blue. This album has awesome ballads (like his earlier work): When Love Fades, Blue Bedroom, You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This & Do I Know You. Some good rockers like Country Comes To Town Great story songs like New Orleans. The title track is good but a foreshadowing of True (5 stars) His song is the best. Everytime i hear it i laugh at how many women have jerks for husbands just because he was good at something,....WAS! Anyway i have heard a lot of country music but this is the best song i have heard. That all changed in 2002 when he recorded "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)," a response to September 11 that became one of country's most highly charged political statements since Merle Haggard's "Okie from Muskogee." The media furor ensured that even...
