If they were becoming a commercial band, beleive me they would be writing songs like Born This Way or Teenage Dream. Mainstream bands dont write songs like Amongst The Waves, Just Breathe, or Force Of Nature, or The End. The feeling in these songs are evidence that they aren't TRYING to go mainstream. This is a pretty good cd, but it has its flaws. Pearl Jam went through a disturbing trend of changing styles in their cds in the last decade, from following their roots and rocking, to making poppy, catchy tunes. This one reverted back to poppy, with Eddie completely losing his garbly lyrics that are a trademark. This cd still jams, but its not up to the high standard PJ set in the 90s. But I got some beef to settle with iTunes. If your gonna delete a album off of iTunes and then put it back up, give it's ratings and review back atleast, don't just start it over. (this had thousands of ratings a month ago) ugh.
