Bionic – Christina AguileraView More By Christina Aguilera Our ReviewOf all the superstars with their roots in The Mickey Mouse Club, Christina Aguilera is the one with the purest talents. That she has been unable to settle into one genre is a testament to her desire and ability to do it all. Back to Basics cast her as a classic singer, capable of leaving the pop world behind, while Bionic is the sound of a young woman demanding her crown back. The title track begins with buckling rhythms and full-out flashy disco backbeats and flourishes of “Not Myself Tonight” go a long way towards sending this diva back up to the current-day throne. She collaborates with a genuine who’s-who of industry stars from M.I.A. to Peaches to Linda Perry and all it does is add to her impressive résumé and make Bionic feel like one grand party. She kicks out with her naughty side on “Sex for Breakfast” and “Woohoo” turns the act of love into a public display. “Elastic Love” turns up the electronics. “I Hate Boys” is a playful romp that works as a hopscotch schoolyard taunt. “My Girls,” with Peaches, is more synth-driven fun that rants and raves.. Customer Reviewsdon't believe the criticism; BUY THIS ALBUM (5 stars)this is the album of her career, regardless whether it may bomb or not. christina has done her best record to date and had she put this out last year, it mightve had more success but with so much comparisons to gaga, she might struggle to find an audience willing to buy into her new sound. give this album a try, it is one of my two favorite albums of 2010, the other being flesh tone by kelis. Really Disappointing (1 star) She hasn't made fantastic work since the Stripped album. This album is full of cheap beats, cliche lyrics and self-centered messages about how great she is. In numerous songs she constantly is talking about her needs, how those in her life satisfy her needs, lift her up, everyone wants her and the last track goes as far to admit, "I turn myself on." I would like her more if she would just admit she's self-obsessed and was lazy o This album is awesome! (5 stars) Hey, if you guys are going to buy this album (which you should), check out the deluxe edition. Even though it is a little bit more money, the bonus tracks are really good, and add extra quality to the already superb album. It is totally worth it. Christina just proved even more how much a legend she will always be. :) BiographyBorn: December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, NYGenre: Pop Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s A leader in the parade of Mickey Mouse Club veterans who stormed pop at the turn of the millennium, Christina Aguilera was the sexy, brassy diva of the bunch — the Rolling Stones to Britney Spears’ Beatles, as it were. Initially, it was difficult to see Christina outside of the prism of Britney, whose 1999 success launched the new millennium's teen pop boom, but Christina’s big hits of 1999 — “Genie in a Bottle,” “What a Girl Wants,” “Come on Over” — more than held their own with...
