(Track-by-track) Jack Rocks!!..... Wait, Literally? (5 stars)
I will start by saying that I am a tremendous Jack Johnson fan, so I may have been a bit biased on my expectations when I first pressed play and heard the album..... but wow. Honestly, no matter what Jack would have recorded in that Solar powered studio in Hawaii I would have given it 5 stars, but this album (bias aside) truly earns all of them. Now, I will stop making this sound like a love letter, and go by saying that this is a ROCK album

Ok, I have been a fan of Jack Johnson's from the start with 'Brushfire Fairytales.' But with this album, he definitely lost his spark. Everysong on it sounds the same, except a few of them which are just ok. Hes doing this rock sound which is drowning out his voice and it just sounds like a loud of instruments and a voice thats in the mixture of it all. Im still a fan but I'm honestly disappointed with this album. Hopefully he goes back to t

it's jack johnson. the man knows soulful, meaningful lyrics and just continues his breezy legacy as an acoustic wonder. there's no other jack johnson. to the sea's just another example of why he personifies the phrase "chill". 5 stars for sure.
