Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass) [Remastered] – The Rolling StonesView More By The Rolling Stones Our ReviewA dozen essentials from the Stones' first phase, with both rockers ("Satisfaction," "19th Nervous Breakdown") and R&B-derived ballads ("Tell Me," "Heart of Stone") represented. Only three songs are not originals, so it's not an accurate snapshot of the early years, but it fully captures the bravado and sexual charge that from the start marked the band. It's definitely a great place to start for a Stones education, though it's long been superceded by other more thorough and cost-effective collections.. Customer ReviewsDodgy old geezers were once children, here is proof. (5 stars)This is a great albums and you can push it many ways. Rock. Soul. Blues. You could probably even argue this is British Invasion. It's very good, it helped pave the road of rock n' roll and help create the legends we have today like Nelly and Beyonce and Britney Spears, and all the other wonderful wonderful bands, not forgetting AFI, Less than Jake, Chumbawumba, Wham, The Wiggles, and of course dashboard confessional and deathcab for cutie. N Good collection of early Stones (4 stars) This is a good collection of early Stones tunes from the earky to mid 60's. You need to add a few to complete the collection and tailor to tastes, but this is the best one to buy... I think better than Hot Rocks, but this is me and I have a lot of Stones music. The remastering is good too. Better than the original CD and much better than the record. "Good Times, Bad Times!" As the self-consciously dangerous alternative to the bouncy Merseybeat of the Beatles in the British Invasion, the Stones had pioneered the gritty, hard-driving blues-based rock & roll that came to define hard rock. With his preening machismo and latent maliciousness, Mick Jagger became the prototypical rock frontman,...
