Storyline
Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game-and the rest of the crew has been exonerated-the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman seduces Dom into the world of crime he can't seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before. If you are a fan of this franchise, you know that these films do not take themselves seriously. As is the case with the eighth installment of the series. However, even a series like this one needs a twist to keep the audience interested. Which is where Dom comes in, as he shifts his allegiance to a hacker known by the alias Cipher. His motives are kept undisclosed for some time to keep the suspense alive. What separates this film from the others is it finally gets a villain that's worth mentioning. Cipher is menacing,seductive and manipulative. Even after seven films Charlize manages to add something new to the franchise. Just goes to show you the talent behind the actress. Say what you will about this franchise but even the critics cannot deny the entertainment value that it has. And ultimately that is the reason we go to the theaters, let me rephrase that, it's why I go to the theaters.
