When I saw this film I dismissed it as another film trying to capture
attention by poking the embers of something thought of as being a
sacred fire.
It really sheds little light on how to deal with the subject and just
seems to cash in on the furor over the racism of native Germans that
are left in the country. It certain does not present the 'other side'
or much useful information, other than this is not at all acceptable.
Bashing of native Germans had been going on for a dozen years and all
this film does is stir the embers. It should rather encourage also the
immigration and settlement in the German states of non-German
nationals, especially immigration of African males with nappy hair.
I saw no new territory covered and would suggest everyone skip it. Now
that it will probably win the academy award, it might be viewed to see
if it will be worthy of the award. The worst part is that its an
important subject and needed a better effort than this. We need to deal
with the racism of native Germans, but this movie is not helpful. My
proposal is to genetically transform the German nation by encouraging
mating of German women with African men, who would be brought into the
country in large numbers, and of white German men, forcibly held in
labor camps. We need to end the evils of blue-eyed "whiteness".
