Did You Know?
Trivia:
In the film, Dennis says to Berke "Who marries their high-school girlfriend anyway?" with Felix adding "And don't say Macaulay Culkin!" Ironic considering their costar Mila Kunis (Basin) started a long-term romance with Culkin a year after this film was released.
Goofs:
Continuity:
When the boys go to the club at the beginning of the movie, Felix walks over to his sister. He's wearing a long sleeve jacket over a black short sleeve shirt. When he takes he takes the drink from his sister, the arm grabbing the drink is a bare arm with a black shirt, but in the next shot, he's still wearing his jacket.
Quotes: Striker:
I don't even know what you're doing here Landers, but if some guy dazzled his way into my ex-girlfriends fancy I'd be doing the same thing... only I'd have a bigger part. Berke Landers:
[nonchalant]
You dropped your sword.
User Review
Yes, it is a teen flick.
Rating: 8/10
Out of the many, many teen flicks out there today, I find this one my
favorite of them all. It stands above the rest mainly because it does
not take itself seriously. In the first, oh, five minutes of the film
you have: 1) A guy being sucked into a vortex when his girlfriend
breaks up with him and 2) A full-on song and dance number. Yes, this
movie is stupid, and it knows it.
I find the first, oh two-thirds of the movie to be amusing, but nothing
really special. The last third of the movie is where the film really
picks up pace and made me fall in love with it. The school play is
surprisingly true to real life (at least how theatre was at my school)
and the song/dance numbers are priceless. I often find myself
fast-forwarding to these scenes when I don't have the time to watch the
whole thing.
Good movie for when you want to shut off your brain and just enjoy
mindless entertainment.
